Spoken word trailblazers, we exist to champion the development of extraordinary artists, amplify ignored voices and to challenge expectations of what poetry is and can be. Apples and Snakes: The Podcast was produced by Natalie Fiawoo, with audio production by Drew Horley for The Lab Studios. I needed this in my life. I don't normally listen to podcasts, but this is worth it.

This talk truly took me back as I was in London performing from 2004 to 2008. My story is a little different being a black British poet living in different countries. My American accent hiding my Jamaican values and English upbringing. I truly thank you for this podcast.
